About New Play Development

Synchronicity is committed to nurturing new plays which reflect and refract the world in which we live.

We start by featuring plays in our Bold Voices Series by nationally renowned playwrights. Most often, women playwrights. In fact, 75% of the plays we’ve produced have been by women.

We also support new work through new play commissions, ensemble-based work (like our award-winning Women + War project), 4Plays (our annual Playreading Series) and by presenting SheWRITES, a national new play festival for women playwrights.
