Cancelled: Dead Man’s Cell Phone

REGIONAL PREMIERE

Dead Man’s Cell Phone

4/9/2010 to 5/9/2010

By Sarah Ruhl; Directed by Patricia Henritze

A cafe. A dead man. A ringing cell phone. When Jean answers a deceased stranger's phone, she is whisked into a new life of romance, infidelity and international intrigue. Ruhl spins a whimsical, wistful love story about our need to connect in a disconnected age. The New York Times called Dead Man "a beguiling new comedy" when it premiered off-Broadway in March 2009. Atlanta audiences may be familiar with Ruhl’s work. Horizon Theatre did her The Clean House in summer 2009; Georgia Shakespeare and the Alliance Theatre co-produced Eurydice in spring 2008.
